Calling Adults
Adults: Unity has been offering spiritual development programs for Youth and Families for over 100 years. Unity of Loudoun County is now providing Sunday morning education classes and activities for children. Contact us if you are an adult with creative energy and a desire to present spiritual principles to either children or teens. Nursery:
UOLC is offering supervised nursery/toddler care for children ages 6 months to 3 0r 4 years of age in a classroom off pod 2 where the Youth Ed activities take place. If you know of someone who does not come on Sunday because of childcare issues, let them know of our service. If once a month you would enjoy watching little ones play, let Rev. Edna or Sarah Buxton know of your interest. **Parents--Bring your diaper bag w/diapers and drink and have your child's name on the bag. Thank you!
Youth Education :
Our beloved children have to opportunity to share a time of learning, creativity and play during our Celebration Service. Their classes range from spiritual oneness, celebrating diversity, kindness, and nature to our once a month Yoga Sunday. We look forward to having your child join us.
In an early edition of Wee Wisdom an early Unity publication a little boy wrote "Are you afraid of the dark? Isn't God just as much in the dark as in the light? You mustn't be afraid. I'm not afraid 'cause I know God's everywhere and God's good." Our children are clear expressions of God's light and love.
Myrtle Fillmore, Unity's co-founder, defined the Unity approach to our children when she wrote – "Who meddles with the rosebud? What fingers are deft enough to pry open that marvel of folded beauty? We are wise enough to leave it alone to follow the glad law of its own unfolding. But our children! Have we always remembered that they, too, must quicken and unfold through the innate law of their own genius?" Unity of Loudoun County seeks always to allow our children to unfold in God's good timing.
Our Youth Education Celbration time is 10:30 a.m. It run concurent with the Sunday Worshipful Celebration.
