Spiritual But Not Religious?

Do you see yourself as spiritual, but not religious? Have you rejected traditional organized religion as the sole—or even the most valuable—means of furthering your spiritual growth? You may have had negative experiences with churches or church leaders. If so, we may be the spiritual community you have been seeking.

Unity is more a way of life than an organized religion or system of worship. Even though we have an international association and independent individual communities, Unity does not have a dogmatic statement of faith with which members must agree. Unity is positive, practical Christianity. It teaches the practical application in everyday life of the principles of Truth taught and exemplified by Jesus Christ, as interpreted in the light of modern-day experience by Unity School of Christianity and the Association of Unity Churches. Unity is a way of life that leads to health, prosperity, happiness, and peace of mind.

We believe in original blessing, that all people are created with sacred worth. Therefore, we recognize the importance of serving all people in spiritually and emotionally caring ways. We strive for our ministries, publications, and programs to reach out to all who seek spiritual growth. The objective of joining a Unity community is to find ways to enrich your spiritual development and to find ways to serve the world that God is constantly re-creating. We support each other in living effective, spirit centered lives.

If you enjoy the writings of Deepak Chopra, Stephen Covey, Louise Hay, Wayne Dyer, Neale Donald Walsch, Oprah Winfrey, Marianne Williamson, the Dalai Lama, A Course in Miracles and the Daily Word, you will enjoy our Unity Church Service.

Prayer at Unity

Prayer has been a core activity for Unity since it beginnings in 1889. Unity of Loudoun County continues that focus in our daily lives and as a spiritual community. We have trained Prayer Chaplains that serve each Sunday to hold sacred space, listen in confidence and pray with you. Also, if you would like to be added to our prayer list as well as with Silent Unity, click HERE to send us your prayer request.

Wake up to the wonder you are!
